Hot Springs Pool Contributes

The Hot Springs Lodge and Pool has officially announced that they will contribute $20,000 towards the construction of the whitewater park in West Glenwood. Here is the article posted on their website:

"The Hot Springs Lodge & Pool (HSLP) has pledged $20,000 toward the construction of the proposed whitewater park in west Glenwood Springs near the Midland Avenue Bridge on the Colorado River. HSLP strongly endorses this new attraction and agrees with the Whitewater Park Committee that it will attract kayaking enthusiasts from across the country. John Bosco, HSLP Chief Financial Officer, has been working with the committee since 2005 and has been actively involved in the search for the ideal park location and possible funding sources. “Park organizers, especially Joe Mollica, have worked tirelessly on this project, and are as intent as ever to start construction as soon as possible.” says Bosco. A grant application will be submitted to Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) in February 2007 requesting $200,000 for the project. Total project cost is estimated at $1.4 million to be completed in two phases beginning December 2007."

The Whitewater Park Committee would like to express a very warm thank you to the Hot Springs Lodge and Pool for their continued support, and generous contribution.
